Bluewater Considers Changing Role Of Economic Development Manager

The Municipality of Bluewater is considering changes to the job description and responsibilities of its economic development manager.

Mayor Tyler Hessel explains they want a model similar to the one the county and Central Huron have used. They have asked their CAO to come back to council with a description for an expanded position that would include marketer as well as community developer.

Hessel explains one of the problems in the past has been connecting community groups with the right staff person when they undertake projects that need staff assistance, so it's hoped the new position would help with that process.

He hopes to have something done by next month.
