Share The Road Cycling Workshops In Holmesville

The Huron County Cycling Strategy Committee is holding a Community Friendly Cycling Workshop later this month to gather input from residents.

Huron County Planning Director Scott Tousaw explains the committee is responsible for creating a strategy and bringing it to county council.

The Share the Road Committee is putting on two sessions to provide education and gather input.

The workshop is Thursday, May 19 at the Holmesville Community Centre. The daytime session runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The evening session runs from 7pm-9pm.

Tousaw points out cycling has become very popular for tourists, and residents wanting to get to an urban area for work or shopping.

It's becoming critically important that cyclist and motorist learn to share the road as the number of cyclists increases.
