UPDATE: Harriston Rd. Near Bluevale Open After Crash

Police continue to investigate after a serious crash near Bluevale sent one man to hospital.

Huron County OPP say around 7:10am on Friday, a Chevrolet Cobalt was travelling eastbound on Harriston Rd. when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The Chevrolet left the roadway and rolled into the south ditch landing upright.

The driver, 28-year-old Jason Simmons of Wingham, was rushed to a local hospital and then airlifted to a London hospital with life threatening injuries.

Harriston Rd. between Amberley Rd. to Kieffer Line was reopened around 3pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
