8-Year Old Wants To Get Water Out West

A Holland Centre girl is doing her part to help victims in Fort McMurray.

Meadow Graham, 8, collected donations at the Canadian Tire in Hanover on Mother's Day.

Meadow's mom Nicole says her daughter is always one to think of others.

"She's always wanted to contribute to events and other things on her own accord," says Graham. "But on the news there happend to be a clip of another young boy who had a lemonade stand and he was collecting money for Fort McMurray. She thought she wanted to do her part."

In the end Meadow donated $316.65 which was given to the Red Cross.

But there were also 20 cases of water dropped off and Nicole says they need to donate it to an organization that will take that water out west.

"And along with that, near the end of the day people were dropping off cases of water. Now we have extra water, and we need to find out who can take it out for us."

Her contact number is 519-379-9102.
