Hanover Home Hardware Dealer-Owner Wins North American Award

The dealer-owner of the Hanover and Alliston Home Hardware Building Centres has been named one of the top retailers in the North American hardware industry.

Dan Moulton was recognized as the 2016 North American Young Retailer of the Year by the North American Retail Hardware Association.

The award, which was presented at a conference in Las Vegas, recognizes excellence among independent home improvement retailers 35 years and younger.

Recipients are selected based on their professional achievements, community involvement and hardware industry education.  Dan was the only Canadian recognized for this achievement.

Dan and his wife Emily purchased Hanover Home Hardware Building Centre in 2012.  Three years later they acquired an 80% share in Alliston Home Hardware Building Centre.

"I love that my job is never the same," says Dan. "Managing a team, winning new customers, competing in the marketplace; it’s fun."

The stores also support community building projects, summer festivals, sports teams, charity events, and local hospitals.
