Man Who Offered Mitchell School Girl A Ride Comes Forward

Perth County OPP have talked to the suspicious man who offered a young teenaged girl a ride to school in Mitchell earlier this month.

The extensive investigation and media attention prompted the man to come forward.

Police say they have ascertained the man's actions were not criminal in nature.

The man apologized for the anxiety he may have caused the victim and the community.

Police say a minor language barrier and cultural differences may have lead to the actions and mistaken perceptions.
