Stratford Hires New C.A.O.

The City of Stratford is getting a new senior administrative leader.

City Council has announced the appointment of Robert Horne as Chief Administrative Officer.

Horne is currently Commissioner of Planning at the Region of Waterloo. He brings over 30 years of municipal experience and has held several senior positions in the City of Cambridge and the Region of Waterloo.

He will take over for long-serving CAO Ron Shaw, who retired earlier this year.

Horne lives in Wellesley and will officially start in Stratford June 27th.

"We had a lot of interest in this position from across the country and Rob was the perfect fit to be the next CAO of Stratford, given the objectives and mandate this Council wants to achieve," stated Mayor Dan Mathieson.
