Conners had birdies on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 15th and 18th holes. He is currently tied for 8th place.
He is three shots back of Nathan Lashley and Sebastien Vazquez who share the lead at 8 under.
Conners fantastic round comes shortly after his fourth top ten finish on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.
Conners plays his second round this afternoon.
