Owen Sound Police Investigate Break-ins

Owen Sound Police are investigating two break-ins in the city.

In a release, police say they were called to a residential alarm in the 400 block of 12th Street West around 6:30 yesterday morning. When they arrived, they found damage to an exterior door but say it appears who ever was trying to get in, was scared off by the alarm.

A few hours later, police were called to a break, enter and theft at a home in the 900 block of 8th Avenue East. Police say no one was home at the time of the break-in and an undetermined amount of property was stolen. Police say entry was gained by forcing opening a locked door.

Anyone with information is asked to call Owen Sound Police or Crime Stoppers.
