Hanover Youth Summit Offers Jam Packed Day To Empower Youth

A planned Youth Summit in Hanover has been condensed to a one day jam packed seminar.

Youth Roots of Hanover and surrounding area is hosting the event next Saturday to empower young people aged 12 to 18.

A line up of presenters will help participants build interpersonal and leadership skills, and create awareness of mental health and wellbeing.

Youth leaders will leave with the skills needed to increase the youth voice in their communities.

Speakers include Me to We Cofounder Craig Kielburger, Mental Health Advocate Kendra Fisher and motivations speaker Ryan Porter.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
