Goderich Diver Dies Of Natural Causes

Provincial police say a 67-year-old Goderich man who died while scuba diving near Tobermory, died of natural causes.

Police say Peter Lane was one of eight scuba divers on an expedition to the Arabia that lies off Echo Island in the Fathom Five National Marine Park on Sunday morning when he was observed by other divers in medical distress.

The Coast Guard brought the man to shore and gave him medical attention.

An autopsy showed he died of natural causes.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
