Local Track Athletes Advance to OFSAA Championships

Five local track and field athletes finished in the top four at OFSAA West Regionals in Cambridge on the weekend.

Molly Boley from OSCVI was first in senior girls discus; Sacred Heart's Tony Elliot took third in senior boys discus; Avory Konrad-Dolson from OSCVI finished third in midget girls javelin; Madelyn Eybergen from Kincardine District Secondary School was second in midget girls high jump; Matthew Donnelly from Sacred Heart finished fourth in midget boys 800 metre.

All five now advance to the OFSAA Track and Field Championships in Windsor starting June 2nd.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
