Historic Gaol In Goderich Looking For 'Actors'

Staff at the Huron County Museum and Historic Gaol are looking for volunteers with an interest in acting as well as history.

They need volunteer actors to portray inmates and guards at the Huron County Historic Gaol for the summer's Behind the Bars program.

Curator of Engagement and Dialogue Will Kernohan says some acting experience would be helpful, and anyone between the ages of 16 and about 75 would be perfect.

The museum provides a brief history of the character for the actors and it then becomes their responsibility to research that person so they can remain in character and answer questions from visitors to the Gaol.

Behind the Bars runs one night a week throughout the summer and Kernohan says they've added a couple of new characters for this summer.

Interested actors should contact Madelaine Higgins at the Historic Gaol at 524-6971.
