$50K Reward Offered In Death Of Frederick John Hatch Near Erin

The Province of Ontario is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of a person responsible for the murder of Frederick John Hatch.

The body of the 65-year-old man was found near Erin east of the 10th Line off Wellington Rd. 124 on December 17 2015 at 6:42am.

He was last seen in the Ottawa-area, December 16 at a Dollar Tree at 1:05pm.

It's unknown how he got to the Erin area, but Hatch was known to hitchhike.

He was wearing a denim vest with Mickey Mouse on the back, a black leather jacket, and a blue and white bandanna, while carrying a red duffel bag.

Investigators urge anyone with information to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 1-800-222-TIPS.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
