Stratford's National Stadium Nominated for Kraft/Heinz Project Play

The National Stadium in Stratford is nominated for the Kraft Heinz Project play.

The grand prize is $250,000 and the next three entries win $20,000 dollars for upgrades.

Stratford Minor Baseball volunteer Dan Graver nominated the facility and says there are a lot of people using it.

"We host many Ontario Championships here at the stadium," he say. "Many Baseball Ontario Tournaments. We have our Family Day coming up on the 17th."

Graver says the grand stand was built in 1964 and is not accessible and the roof leaks.

"There's a lot of leakage that goes down into the dressing rooms and some of the equipment rooms causing damage," he says.

Graver says field drainage is also an issue and they would like to replace the score board.

Graver is encouraging everyone to comment on his nomination to show support for Stratford's National Stadium on the Project Play website. Click here to go to Graver's nomination.
