All Huron Heritage Funding Allocated For The Year

There won't be a November deadline for Huron County Heritage grants this year.

Director of Cultural Services, Meighan Wark, told county council this morning all of the money available was awarded at the May deadline. Wark explained in the past, applications at the May deadline that don't meet the criteria are turned down, and then money that's left over following the May deadline is awarded to applicants who successfully meet the criteria for the November deadline. Wark says this year they had several excellent applications in May and all of the money for this year has been allocated.

Wark adds the fact that all of the funding was allocated in May is a reflection of how strongly heritage projects and the heritage of Huron County is appreciated and valued by Huron County residents.
