Goderich Women Volunteer In Zambia

Two Goderich women are part of a team of six volunteers who are travelling to Zambia later this month.

The team is part of i-teams International and each volunteer is recruited by team leader Lianti Muller because each one brings a special skill to help the people of Zambia.

Bonnie Borchardt is a counsellor and will help people with relationship issues as well as help raise the issue of mental illness at the hospitals in Zambia.

Sylvia Bate is a seamstress and tailor and she will help women in Zambia make school uniforms both for their own children as well as making uniforms and other clothing to earn money to support their families.

The team leaves for Zambia on June 29th and returns on July 16th.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
