Fergus Pair Charged For Mail Thefts

Two Fergus residents have been arrested after a lengthy police investigation into thefts from mail boxes.

Between January and March of this year, the OPP investigated several incidents in which Canada Post mailboxes had been pried open and personal information from inside was stolen.

A team of investigators was set up, representing the Huron, South Bruce, and Wellington County OPP detachments, as well as the OPP Regional Support Team and Canada Post.

Their probe led to the arrests of 35-year-old Tracy Lynn Dolmage and 34-year-old Richard Lloyd Cutting, both of St. Patrick Street in Fergus.

They face 43 charges of Theft from Mail;  14 counts of Possession of Stolen Credit Cards;  18 charges of Identity Theft;  7 counts of Possession of Identity Documents,  and 1 count of Mischief Over $5,000.

Both accused remain in custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
