Meaford Students Preparing For Facilty Changes

Meaford area students are preparing for some major changes in the school landscape come September.

Yesterday, students in grade three and up from St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary and Meaford Community School walked to Georgian Bay Secondary School to meet their new secondary peers.

Next Monday, all JK to Grade 2 students will gather St. Vincent Euphrasia to tour the school they will attend in the fall.

A new name has been chosen for the new Grade 4 to 12 facility at Georgian Bay Secondary School, but still needs approval from the Bluewater School Board next week.

Architects are working with staff to ensure adequate outdoor play space is available. along with parking and bus areas.

Meaford Community school will close effective June 30.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
