Steam Day Challenge At Notre Dame School in Owen Sound

Notre Dame School in Owen Sound is hosting the first Steam Day Challenge on Thursday..

The Society of Automotive Engineers A World in Motion II event involves teams of six students in Grades 4-6 from Bruce Grey Catholic Elementary Schools.

Each team has a starter kit, and will have to build a toy that can travel 3 m in under three seconds.

Judges will determine the winner.

An additional challenge will be given to the students at the competition and they will have one hour to work with their team members to meet the challenge.

The STEAM (Science Technology Arts Math) Day Challenge promotes excellence in math, science and technology education through friendly competition.
