Cyclist Hit By Vehicle In Owen Sound

Police are investigating after a cyclist was struck by a vehicle in Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police Service says on Friday around 5:15pm, a cyclist was riding his bicycle through a pedestrian crosswalk on 2nd Ave. E when he was struck by a south bound vehicle.

The cyclist was taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

There has been no word on charges, and police say an investigation in ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
