MPAC: Wellington North Home Values Increase

A report from the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation shows the typical value of a single family home in Wellington North has increased by 4.3%.

The value of the average residential home now sits at $250,000, which is an increase of $38,000.

A typical home in Wellington County as a whole is valued at $396,000, a 3.4% increase.

Province-wide, the typical single family home is valued at $386,000.

Anyone who has concerns with their assessment should first ask themselves if they could sell their property for the assessed value in January of this year.

They can file a request for reconsideration if they feel the value is not correct.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
