SIU Investigating Incident In Hanover

The province's police watchdog is investigating after one person was injured in an incident involving Hanover police officers.

Officers with the Hanover Police Service were called around 12:30 Sunday morning to the 300 block of 6th Street, and again near the intersection of 8th Street and and 17th Avenue.

Police located a man in the area, who was then taken to hospital where it was learned that he had suffered a fracture.

As a result, the Special Investigations Unit has been contacted and will be investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
