Attempted Robbery In Hanover

Hanover police are searching for a suspect after an attempted robbery Tuesday evening.

Shortly after 7:30pm, a man working at the KABOOM fireworks trailer in the Canadian Tire parking lot was grabbed from behind by a man who demanded money.

The employee turned around and hit the man in the head, knocking him to the ground. The man then fled the area on foot. It is possible that the man suffered a visible facial injury.

Police are looking for a white male, 19 to 25 years of age, about 6 ft tall, with a thin build and short brown hair. He was wearing a tan short-sleeved shirt and jean shorts.

Anyone with information that could help police is asked to contact the Hanover Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
