OPP Watching For Speeders Over Long Weekend

The OPP will be targeting speeders and aggressive drivers over the long weekend.

Eight people died in four separate crashes on OPP patrolled roads last weekend. So far this year, 128 people have died in crashes.

In 2015, the OPP laid more than 250,000 speeding charges and another 4,000 charges for racing. That involves speeds in excess of 50 km/h over the limit.

Police will also be focusing their attention on waterway and trails this weekend.
