Drug Bust In Chesley

$17,000 worth of drugs was confiscated from a Chesley home.

The OPP searched a home on 3rd St last Thursday and seized various drugs including methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, morphine, oxycodone, and cannabis resin.

Police also seized offence related property that consisted of drug trafficking paraphernalia, along with three prohibited weapons, a firearm, bear spray, and an assortment of ammunition.

Lance Bell, 55, of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with 6 counts of assault police, 13 counts of possess a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, 6 counts of administer noxious substance, 3 counts of possess a prohibited weapon, possess a firearm without a licence, breach firearms regulations, possess firearm while prohibited, 3 counts of possess ammunition while prohibited and 3 counts of possess prohibited weapon while prohibited.

Robert St. Jean, 30, of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with 6 counts of assault police, 13 counts of possess a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, 6 counts of administer noxious substance, 3 counts of possess a prohibited weapon, breach firearms regulations and possess firearm without a licence.

Jennifer Albert, 33, of Arran-Elderslie Township has been charged with 6 counts of assault police, 13 counts of possess a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, 6 counts of administer noxious substance, 3 counts of possess a prohibited weapon, breach firearms regulations and possess a firearm without a licence.

The accused were all held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
