Stratford, Owen Sound and Belmore Bring Home Medals from OASA Tournaments

Stratford took home silver from the Junior Men's Ontario Amateur Softball Association Provincial A Tournament yesterday.

New Hamburg beat the Festival City 4-3 in the championship game. Both teams will participate in the U21 Men's Canadian Championship in Tavistock August 2nd to 7th.

In the B Division Provincials, Owen Sound topped Napanee 9-5 to win the B championship.

Belmore won the Bantam Elminations over the weekend by defeating Napanee 6-2. Belmore's Mac Mulvey was named Most Valuable Player for the tournament and Kyle Durrer was Most Valuable Pitcher.

Kitchener-Waterloo takes home the bronze from the tournament.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
