Harriston Roundabout Construction On Schedule

Construction on the highway roundabout at the south end of Harriston is on schedule.

Minto Mayor George Bridge says it will be finished well in advance of the International Plowing Match in Minto in September.

Mayor Bridge the centre of the roundabout will be planted with trees next year.

In the meantime, organizers are trying to come up with a way to use the centre of the roundabout to promote the the IPM.

And the Minto municipal office is doing its part to promote the Plowing Match.  The municipal office now has an antique tractor on display on its front lawn.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
