Meaford Says Farewell To Retiring Fire Chief

Retiring Fire Chief Mike Molloy received a fond good-bye and "happy sailing" from Meaford council and other member of Meaford and District Fire Department this week.

Mayor Barbara Clumpus presented Molloy with a Letter of Appreciation from Bruce-Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker.

Molloy also received an engraved plaque from the fire protection advisor with the Fire Marshall’s Office. It's for his 21 years of service as a member of the fire department, including six years as fire chief.

Clumpus and council then welcomed Meaford’s new Fire Chief Scott Granahan, and passed a resolution officially appointing Granahan as chief.
