Driver Apprehended After Huron County Corn Field Chase

A young Markham driver is facing numerous charges after an off road adventure Wednesday night.

Just after 8pm, a Huron OPP Officer observed a BMW Sport Utility Vehicle travelling at 191 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Morris Rd near Clyde Ln.

The officer gave chase but as the vehicle appeared to be stopping, it veered off onto a private lane and then into a corn field. The vehicle eventually got stuck in the field and the driver was apprehended at the lane's entrance.

Fei Pan, 18, of Markham was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, flight from police, racing a motor vehicle and driving while under suspension.
