A Wet And Wild Ride In Meaford

A new attraction in Meaford is ready to open Saturday.

It's a 1,000 ft long water slide, known as Slip ‘n Slide, and runs from the top to the bottom of Nelson St. It's the creation of a Meaford-area company called "365 Sports."

Among those prepared to don a bathing suit and head for the Slide are Meaford Mayor Barbara Clumpus and John McKean, mayor of The Blue Mountains.

Clumpus says McKean was the first council member of a neighboring municipality to accept her invitation to ride the slide and she's hoping more mayors, municipal officials and staff will accept her challenge.

Advance tickets for the the Slip’n Slide ride can be purchased online at http:// theurbanslide.ca/meaford.php.
