Burn Bans Still In Place

Despite areas of rain Friday night, fire officials are emphasizing there are still burn bans in place.

Earlier this week burn bans went into affect in Perth County and Wellington County. In Perth County, small cooking fires are allowed only in approved campgrounds between noon and midnight.

There is a burn ban in South Bruce which incorporates Teeswater, Mildmay, Formosa, Belmore, Carrick and Culross. The Township of North Huron, the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry, and Howick Township are also under burn bans. As well, Northern and Southern Bruce Peninsula are enforcing a burn ban.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
