Driver Sought After Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In Owen Sound

Police are asking for the public's help in locating a driver after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Owen Sound.

The Owen Sound Police Service says on Friday around 8:30am, a woman driving a white SUV struck the pedestrian near the intersection of 5th St. E and 2nd Ave. E. The driver stopped at the collision, but was told to leave by men who were at the scene.

The pedestrian sustained minor injuries in the collision and notified police.

The driver of the vehicle and anyone with information regarding this incident are asked to contact police Constable Peter Schultz at (519) 376-1234 ext. 155.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
