Huron County C-A-O Back on AMO Caucus

Huron County's C-A-O has been acclaimed to the County Caucus of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.

Brenda Orchard explains the province has a Memorandum of Understanding with AMO and any legislation that affects municipalities is discussed at the AMO level.   That gives municipalities an opportunity to provide input into some of those decisions.

Orchard adds it has been a strategic priority of Huron County to have more representation on Provincial boards.

It's an opportunity to provide a rural lens for provincial decision-making, so her acclamation fits well with the County's strategic plan.
