Fundraising Going Well for Hometown Heroes Charity Hockey Game

Momentum is starting to build for the 3rd Annual Hometown Heroes Charity hockey game in Goderich.

Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb says the fundraising is going well and ticket sales are starting to pick up.

Lobb says it looks like they'll break the $100,000 mark for the first three years.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, Goderich-Huron YMCA’s Strong Kids and Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health Research.

Local players like Cal and Ryan O'Reilly are back along with Boyd Devereaux, Dave McLlwain and Kevin Czuczman and Brett MacLean from Port Elgin.

The puck drops at 7 o'clock Thursday, July 21st at the Goderich YMCA.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
