New Hotel and Conference Centre in Goderich Moves Forward

The sale of the former Victoria Public School property in Goderich has closed.

Mayor Kevin Morrison told council Monday night that the deal has been completed, and it's now time to get moving on the construction of the new hotel and conference centre.

Morrison adds the agreement stipulates that the building must be up by December of 2017, and if it is not - the town has the right to buy the property back.

Plans call for a sixty to sixty-five room hotel with a conference centre, restaurant and an indoor swimming pool on three to four acres of the 9.8-acre property.
