South Huron Interviewing Soon For CAO Position

The Mayor of South Huron is hopeful they will have a permanent CAO in place by the end of September.

Former CAO Steve McAuley left at the beginning of May and the municipality is working with a Listowel consultants team to find a replacement.

Mayor Maureen Cole says they will conduct telephone interviews with applicants over the next couple of weeks and start in-person interviews early in August.

They hope to have the new CAO in place by the end of September or early October, but Cole adds it depends on where the person is coming from and how much notice they have to give their current employer.

The CAO position is currently being filled by John Maddox on an interim basis.
