Bluewater Water Costs Not Fair Says Deputy Mayor

The deputy mayor for the Municipality of Bluewater has some concerns over the way water rates in the municipality are being structured.

Water rates in Bluewater are going up and Jim Ferguson says one of his concerns is the way capital charges are being recovered.

He points out that means that today's residents are not only paying for their capital improvements to the system, but they're also paying for future improvements.

Ferguson believes asking current residents to pay 50% of the recovery cost would be fair, with the other 50% covered by future residents.
