Southgate Man Injured Falling Off Skid Steer

A Southgate man is in serious condition after falling off the roof of a skid steer.

Just after 7am Friday morning, Grey County OPP were called to Southgate Sideroad 13 in the Township of Southgate.

The CAT skid steer was travelling north on Southgate Sideroad 13, north of Southgate Rd. 24, when it stopped suddenly and the man riding on the roof, a 20-year-old Southgate man, was thrown to the ground.

He has been taken to s London hospital with serious injuries, while the 28-year-old driver, also of Southgate, was unharmed.

An investigation is on-going.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
