Bruce County Household Hazardous Waste Collection On Saturday

Bruce County residents looking to get rid of hazardous household waste items can do so today, Saturday at one of two locations.

It's all part of a special Household Hazardous Waste Event hosted by Bruce County.

You can drop off your hazardous waste items at the South Bruce Municipal Building in Teeswater (21 Gordon St. E) between 8am - 11am or at the Public Works Yard in Kincardine (140 Valentine Ave.) between the hours of 1pm and 4pm this afternoon.

Acceptable items include paints, oils, cleaners, batteries, chemicals and propane tanks and there is no cost for disposal of these items.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
