Bruce Power Emergency Siren Testing Today

Residents near Bruce Power will hear the testing of all eight emergency sirens within 3 km of the nuclear plant today.

All eight will sound simultaneously for about three minutes each, and again individually.

The tests will help confirm the activation and function of the new refurbished sirens, which would alert the public in the event of a nuclear emergency.

The full volume test will run from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday.

It's a part of the Municipality of Kincardine and Bruce Power Emergency plan.
