Local Mayors To Meet With Deputy Premier

Minto Mayor George Bridge is pleased that rural Ontario seems to have the ear of the provincial government.

He and eight other mayors from the riding of Perth-Wellington will be meeting with Deputy Premier Deb Matthews in St. Marys today to discuss rural issues.

Rural broadband, natural gas and public transportation are some of the items on the agenda.

Bridge says the discussion is expected to last about two hours.
