Charges Laid In Dangerous Boating Incident

A Kitchener man has been charged following an incident on Conestogo Lake Tuesday morning.

Police say a group of youth were out water-skiing when a boat approached them at a high rate of speed at around 7am.

Words were exchanged between the two parties at which time the operator of the boat allegedly rammed his vessel into the boat operated by the youths, causing minor damage.

Gabriel Leite, 43, of Kitchener has been charged with dangerous operation of a vessel and failing to remain a the scene of a collision.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
