Cambridge Man Dies While Swimming in Lake Huron

Investigators are hoping the result of a post mortem examination scheduled for today (July 25th, 2016) will shed some light on why a 28-year-old Cambridge man died while swimming at a Lake Huron Beach in Saugeen First Nation on Saturday.

Bruce Peninsula OPP say they were called around 1pm for reports of a male, described as a non--swimmer, in distress in the water off Shore Road South, Saugeen First Nation.

Local citizens ran to the man's aid and tried to help him.

Emergency crews performed CPR but the man, 28-year-old Bradley Liani, was pronounced dead in hospital.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
