Meaford Hall Receives Canadian Heritage Funding

The Meaford Hall has received funding from Canadian Heritage to complete it's Balcony Project.

The new balcony will expand capacity to over 350 seats, allowing the venue to attract bigger acts.

Other improvements planned as part of the project are to the sound and lighting systems.

The federal funding represents 50 per cent of the total cost of the project.

"This is great news for the town of Meaford to have this injection of federal money into the Meaford Hall," stated Larry Miller, Member of Parliament for Bruce-Grey Owen Sound. "This was already a topnotch venue to see great Canadian acts, and the talents they will now be able to attract with the increased seating will only get better in the years to come."
