The closure affects the portion between Carling Ter. and Catherine St. and will remain closed between the hours of 7am and 6pm.
While emergency vehicles will still be able to access the street, local side streets will be available as an alternate route for motorists and residents in the area.
Construction is expected to be completed by mid September, 2016.
