Methadone Reported Lost In Owen Sound

A potentially dangerous drug has been lost in Owen Sound.

A man contacted the Owen Sound Police Service Wednesday to report the loss.  He apparently forgot his backpack in an eatery on 9th St. E around 9am Monday morning.

Inside the backpack was a locked black carrying case that contained six units of prescription methadone.  Each methadone unit is a bottle about the size of a juice box, and has a child-proof lid.

A small dose of this drug can be dangerous to children, and can also be dangerous to adults if a full dose is taken.

If anyone locates the camouflage-coloured back pack with the black carrying case inside, you are asked to contact the Owen Sound Police Service.
