Goderich Looking For New Treasurer

The town of Goderich is looking for a new treasurer.

Judy Kay has informed council that she will be retiring on July 31 of next year.

Kay says her goal is to have someone in place in time for her to help them through the budget and the year-end process.

Kay is also the treasurer for Goderich Hydro and is involved in the administration of the Mid-Huron Land Fill Site so she hopes her replacement will have some familiarity with the electrical business as well as municipal experience.

Kay says she's looking forward to retirement after working for 39 years, but she'll feel better about it if her replacement has had plenty of time to feel comfortable in the new job.
