Southgate Considering Changes To Property Bylaw

Southgate Councillor Dale Pallister is not happy about a proposed bylaw to regulate the placement of fill, removal of topsoil, and the alteration of property.

He calls it "anti-agricultural."

Pallister says if approved unchanged, the bylaw will require farmers to get council approval before trimming trees that hinder farm equipment.

He is urging the agricultural community to make its concerns known during the 60-day comment period for the proposed bylaw.
