OSUM Conference in Goderich Turned A Profit

The numbers are in for the Ontario Small Urban Municipalities conference hosted by Goderich in May.

Mayor Kevin Morrison told council Monday night that the town showed a net profit of just under 66 thousand dollars.

Morrison adds the conference attracted over 140 delegates and the thousands of dollars they spent during the three or four days they were in town would be on top of the net profit on the event.

Morrison also pointed out many of the people that were in Goderich for the OSUM conference have come back to spend time here during the summer, so he says overall the conference turned out to be an effective and profitable opportunity to showcase the town.
